My name is Adrianne Edling and I am 21 years old. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s when I was 11. I was very sick most of my middle school and high school years and I would often miss several days of school at a time. During these years I had constant flare-ups and never could quite get the symptoms under control. Over one of my worse flare-ups I lost about 15 pounds. After several years of trying different combinations of medications I finally found the right dosage that maintains my symptoms and helps me live a normal daily life. I think it is important that more people are aware of Crohn’s and Colitis. It has an impact on our ability to do things that most people take for granted, such as going to school, being able to have a job, or eating whatever you want. This organization hits a personal chord with me not only because I have Crohn’s, but also because my dad was also diagnosed with Crohn’s about three years ago. I hope that with your support we can find a cure so that no one will ever have to suffer from Crohn’s or Colitis. Thank you for helping us out!
