Fundraising Tips
Is your personal fundraising webpage already created?
to log in to your page!
1.) WEBPAGE
: Team Challenge will set you up with a fundraising page where friends and family members can securely donate to your cause. Simply e-mail them your fundraising page! See these great examples:
Julia's Page
Andrea's Page
Ruby's Page
2.) MATCHING GIFTS:
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. This is a great way to double your fundraising goal!
Look at this list of supporting companies.
3.) LETTERS:
Team Minnesota will send out letters to the first 50 friends and family members of your choice. We’ll even provide a sample template, include envelopes with your return address and pay for the postage.
You can use this template!
4.) GET CREATIVE:
Use your Team Challenge Mentors and staff as your personal resources to help you brainstorm ideas that will work for you! Meet with them one on one and develop a fundraising plan.
Check out these creative ideas which have worked for past participants.
Great ways to fund raise:
Contact everyone you know. Even if you have not talked to that friend for a while, it's never too late to reach out to a friendship.
Ask your family and friends to help you fundraise and get the word out.
You will be surprised by how many people will help you with your fundraising goal; you will even receive donations from people you may not know. Just remember to thank them. Take your fundraising letter with wherever you go -- you never know when you'll get an opportunity.
Ask the people you work with for help.
Try a combination of fundraising ideas, including a raffle, a fundraising letter, online fundraising, a party, corporate involvement, etc...
Start fundraising now! The earlier you start, the more you will raise.
Donate to yourself. When people know you have made a donation to yourself they will feel very comfortable helping you.
Last but not least -- if you don't ask, you won't receive! Why not start today?
Call 866-931-2611 or enter your zip code and a local representative will contact you!
