2008 San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Half-Marathon

Diane Proud
Run-sa

Diane Proud is a certified USA Triathlon Coach and holds Elite Certification from the Cooper Institute in Personal Training, Dietary Guidance, Weight Management, Optimal Performance Training and Healthy Behaviors in Children. She has been a member of Team Run On! since 1996. In 1999 she served as chairman and coach for the inaugural Team Diabetes London Marathon, successfully raising in excess of $100,000 while guiding 16 runners/walkers to finish.

Prior to joining the Cooper Fitness Center as the Running/Triathlon Pro, Diane’s professional experience included 15 years with major non profit health organizations as Executive Director of the American Heart Association and Regional Director of the American Diabetes Association.

In 2006 and in 2007, Diane achieved recognition as female National Grand Masters Duathlete of the Year. She is a World Duathlon Championship age group Gold, Silver & Bronze Medalist and won Bronze at the World Triathlon Champs in Switzerland representing Team USA. Additional titles include: US National Triathlon Age Group Champion; National Duathlon Age Group Champion; 2-time World Aquathlon Champion; 8-time USA Triathlon All-American. Three Ironman finishes include two in Hawaii. No longer participating in marathons, favorite courses were Boston, New York, London and Mexico City.

Diane conducts running and triathlon camps, specializing in training design for athletes of all abilities from a 5k to Ulta-distance; and from sprint triathlons to the grueling Ironman distance. Diane enjoys working with “kids” of all ages!

Bridgette Collins

Recognizing the pitfalls of misplaced priorities, Bridgette Collins launched MAC Fitness (Making-A-Commitment to Fitness) in 2002 to educate, coach and motivate individuals who struggle with implementing healthier lifestyle habits. She is skilled at creatively crafting solutions to help her clients overcome the physical, financial and emotional consequences of physical inactivity and poor nutritional habits.

Bridgette has worked as a certified personal trainer, both privately and for Bally’s Total Fitness, and she holds a personal trainer certification through the
Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Combining her fitness training and passion for healthy living with nearly twenty years of human resources and program development experience, Bridgette delivers practical health and fitness solutions.

An avid runner for more than 10 years, Bridgette has participated in numerous 5K and10k races and completed four marathons and two half-marathons. She has coached several group training programs to provide beginner walkers and runners weekly instruction for improving their fitness level.

Bridgette is the author of Imagine Living Healthier: Mind, Body and Soul, an entertaining and inspiring book that uses fictional characters to motivate readers to make healthy lifestyle choices. Guided by their fitness coach and God’s grace, the characters in the book let go of the old and embrace the new, unleashing the spirit that nurtures the life God has orchestrated for them.
