Coaches

Meet Team Wisconsin's coaches for The Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon.

Wisconsin
Team Challenge Walking Coach
Darrell Jack

DarrellCoach Darrell is SUPER pumped to be coaching the walkers. Fitness is his life. As the owner of Fast Forward Fitness personal training studio Darrell has trained numerous people to complete everything from 5Ks to obstacle runs to half-marathons. He has a strong passion to help change people’s lives for the better. “It is so amazing to see how people grow and become truly strong, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. That’s why I do what I do!” Darrell has competed in a handful of 5K runs, the Chicago Urbanathlon and run for Team Challenge twice in Las Vegas.

Wisconsin Team Challenge Running Coach
Anne Munkwitz

Coach Anne TCCoach Anne has been with Team Challenge for four seasons as our walk coach, helping dozens successfully train and cross the finish line of a half-marathon. She has now joined us for a fifth season as our run coach and is excited to share her enthusiasm for running with those embarking on their half-marathon training. Several years ago, she made a commitment to get fit and changed her lifestyle, shedding nearly 100 lbs that she’d been yo-yoing with for most of her life. She worked her way from the couch up to the half-marathon distance (and beyond!). She has now completed three full marathons and countless half-marathons and 5ks. She runs often and is constantly seeking new ways to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. She loves to share her passion for running, encourage others in their fitness, and believes that the key to unlocking the drive to run 13.1 lies in surrounding yourself with positive energy and a good support system. She is a fitness fanatic, Twitter addict, an active blogger for FitMilwaukee.com, a fitness website that encourages people to work together toward their fitness goals.

Wisconsin Team Challenge Coach - Madison
Krista Ledbetter

With 12 marathons, 20 half marathons and a handful of ultramarathons under her belt, Krista will quit running when it stops being fun (which won’t happen for her any time soon).  She grew up running, but didn’t put the pedal to the metal until 2005, when she finished the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon, her first.  She chased the sub-4-hour marathon dream for four years, finally conquering at the 2010 San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon with a 3:58.  Is running her passion? Maybe.  But passion’s a big word for what’s a simple pleasure.  Krista has big running goals for 2012, and will keep plugging away in the months ahead, including helping YOU with your own goals.  She’s a Twitter-fiend, blogger and self-proclaimed cat lady whose hero is Hal Higdon.  She’s called Wisconsin home her entire life, but Madison’s been it for the last three years.  She plans to stay. You’re most likely to find her running along Lake Monona.

They will give you the tools you need from their years of training experience so you can reach your goals of running or walking 13.1 miles to help Cure Crohn's and Colitis.
