Fundraising 101
5 Great Fundraising Ideas:
1. Spread the Word about Team Challenge: Contact everyone you know and tell them about your participation in Team Challenge. Even if you have not talked to that friend for a while, it's never too late to reach out to a friendship. Ask your family and friends to help you fundraise and get the word out. You will be surprised by how many people will help you with your fundraising goal; you will even receive donations from people you may not know. Just remember to thank them.
2. Fundraising Letter: Write a letter to family, friends, co-workers about the Team Challenge program and CCFA, why you chose to do this, who you are participating in honor of, how to donate, where their donation will go, and when donations are due. Team Challenge MD will send your first 50 letters to family and friends of your choice. Make sure to take your fundraising letter with wherever you go -- you never know when you'll get an opportunity.
3. Webpage: Team Challenge MD will set you up with a fundraising page where friends and family members can securely donate to your cause. Simply e-mail them your fundraising page!
4. Fundraising Events: Throw a party to support your efforts! Try a combination of fundraising ideas, including a raffle, silent auction, wine and cheese party, pub crawl, car wash, local fundraising concert, bake sale, gift wrap, golf tournament, ice cream social, pancake breakfast, garage sale, bachelor & bachelorette auction, and many more! 5. Matching Gifts: Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. This is a great way to double your fundraising goal!
