PEARL JAM’S MIKE MCCREADY & 1,200 OTHERS TO RUN FOR CROHN’S AND COLITIS CURES IN FIRST EVER VEGAS NIGHTTIME RACE

McCready, Teammates, and American Idol Contestant Casey Abrams Supporting Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Mission to Find Cures for Painful, Incurable Diseases that Affect 1.4 Million Americans

Less than 1% of the population has ever run a half marathon – no small feat – particularly for those who suffer from Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). More than 1,200 Team Challenge participants, many of whom have Crohn’s Disease or ulcerative colitis, will be running the Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ marathon on Sunday, December 4th. This can’t miss sporting event is packed with great running, health and human interest stories.

McCready, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, is not the only performer coming out in support of the cause. Aspiring musician and former American Idol contestant Casey Abrams, who suffers from ulcerative colitis, is making a stand in Las Vegas on behalf of IBD patients as well. Casey will perform at the pre-race concert and later cheer on his mom, a Team Challenge participant.

The awareness and funds raised will benefit research into better treatments and ultimately cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, collectively known IBD.
